The new Sorcerer’s Apprentice is not Mickey Mouse

fantasia-demonJay Baruchel is (you know the young guy who starred in Tropic Thunder). Jay and Nicholas Cage are starring in the new live-action Disney movie called “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” coming out sometime in 2009 (which has nothing to do with Fantasia, like at all. Now that I think about it, a live-action Fantasy movie could be really fun though, as long as it had some CG for the Centaurs and Pegasuses and stuff šŸ˜€ ). Nicholas Cage is the new Sorcerer, who for some reason lives in New York and is looking for his latest apprentice (duh). I find it strange to think of Nicholas Cage as a super cool sorcerer guy like the one in Fantasia and I’m wondering if they’re going to make him look old or keep him like he is. He doesn’t look very sorcery at all and he’s the last guy I’d pick to be one. I also think it’s kind of weird to team Nicholas up with Jay Baruchel seeing as they’re both pretty goofy. I don’t think I could take either of them seriously especially if they had magical powers. This movie just seems like a screwed up version of Enchanted and I liked Enchanted too šŸ˜¦ . At least that movie made some sense seeing as how all the magical things started in fantasy land. There’s not too many details of this movie currently available other than what I’ve already said, especially considering it’s supposed to come out sometime in 2009. I think it was just announced that Jay Baruchel is the co-star too, so I’m guessing it won’t actually be out until at least 2010.

Huh, looks like Disney thinks that throwing Nicholas Cage at any movie will make it super. I mean, they did make money on National Treasure when it could have sucked it up big time.

Yay, Nicholas Cage annoys me too, and he’s ugly, yeah, that’s right I said it, he’s uggles. Also, it’s true, if that horse faced googly eyed man could save that lame ass movie perhaps people will see this one too. Plus, it is a disney movie, so people will see it just out of cult following of that stupid rat.
