Matthew McConaughey would rather Hulk-out

Best Friends Forever!

Best Friends Forever!

It seems like every day I’m finding out about another superhero movie in the making and who is rumored to be playing the lead role. Apparently Matthew McConaughey had no idea that he was rumored to be playing Captain America (supposedly Leonardo DiCaprio was rumored for this spot too 😛 but as far as I know Marvel has only denied Will Smith). Well, neither did I until just now haha. I don’t think Captain America is in love with himself enough to be played by McConaughey personally. In love with America, yes; but not with himself. I also think Captain America with a southern accent would be silly. I guess it would make sense for him to be from the south since he’s insanely patriotic though.

MTV decided to question McConaughey about the rumors as if that would help to clarify matters for the rest of us. You can read how seemingly “clueless” they thought Matthew was when they asked him about it here (lol I never thought someone would be surprised by McConaughey being clueless about anything). Anyway, when MTV asked what he thought about playing Captain A. (lol) he said that he thought that was a “super cool name— Captain America.”-comicbookmovie.com. He also said that he wasn’t that big of a comic book fan as a kid (shocker!) and that he’d rather play the Hulk (Please we do not need a 3rd Hulk especially not a McConaughey version). Lol could you imagine if McConaughey did sign on and him and Hugh Jackman had to team up seeing as Captain America and Wolverine used to be best buds? I would have to laugh through the whole movie (especially if they were in love with each other as much as they were in the old cartoons 😀 ).

In other news, my power supply was almost returned to me last night. I literally missed it by less than 5 minutes. I saw the UPS truck driving away on the main road leading from my house. Then I showed up home to see that little brown sticker denying me my power supply without a signature 😦 . Boo I say! Anyway, I should hopefully have my desktop fixed by tonight and maybe I’ll post my happiness if it’s working properly. (Hope you enjoy the pic Matt 😀 .)

Deadpool is gonna shank you!

September 11, 2008 at 11:43 am (Movie, Random, Superheroes) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Due to the fact that Fox’s films sucked so bad this summer, they are thinking about either doing more X-men related movies or having another Daredevil film. I hope they don’t do another Daredevil film because the first one was cheesey enough. Please hire some good directors and writers Fox. Also, stop killing off all of the X-men in your movies. Just a thought here, but maybe just maybe, people don’t like it when their favorite characters die! Seriously, Cyclops was a commonly loved character and there was no reason for him to die off so easily. If they were gonna have the Phoenix kill him, why not have it in the end of the movie? You already paid James Marsden, why not keep him around for a little bit longer? Atleast they brought back Scott in the Wolverine movie. It says that he is being played by Tim Pocock instead.

Apparently Gambit is showing up in the Wolverine movie too. He’s being played by Taylor Kitsch. It’s sad when the guy who played Cyclops is more rugged looking than the guy who plays Gambit 😦 (Gambit was rugged when he was like 12 come on people! lol). I think whenever the next superhero movie is made, the producers should just go hire a group of 10 nerds to help out the writers or at least piss them off lol.

Oh but the good news from Fox is that apparently Deadpool is going to show up in the coming Wolverine movie. The Wolverine spot is just an introduction though. Fox plans on making its very own Deadpool movie. The bad news is that he’s being played by Ryan Renolds. Now, I like Ryan Reynolds. I think he’s a funny guy (I guess he could play the goofy side of Deadpool). I just don’t think he can pull off the full badassery that is Deadpool. I honestly couldn’t see him killing anyone, much less without caring about it. Also, he’d better bulk up because Deadpool isn’t a scrawny guy. He needs to be big enough to beat the crap out of people easily. I guess we’ll find out what he can do in the Wolverine movie. I hope he ends up kicking Wolverine’s ass before they buddy up because we all know Wolverine can’t defeat anyone alone 😛 . Fox should hopefully let the reviews from Wolverine come in before hiring on Ryan for the actual Deadpool movie. That would be the smart thing to do but hey why would they do a thing like that?

Am I really that gay looking?

August 3, 2008 at 10:19 pm (Random, Superheroes) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

I found this hilarious video on College Humor making fun of Superhero outfits :D. I love the part about Spiderman because Mary Jane doesn’t hesitate to offer her opinion on the Spidersuit. I also really love the part with Professor Xavier and Wolverine. I mean how many times has Professor X. had other people think about killing him because he was a bit too nosey? lol. It’s also fun to see Captain Planet get laughed at. Anyways, enjoy this video and I’ll post more later :).

What do Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America all have in common?

July 23, 2008 at 6:43 pm (Movie, Random, Superheroes) (, , , , , , , , , )

So I was thinking about that Watchmen movie coming out and I was like when’s Marvel gonna have their next movie? Aha look what I found! It appears that an Iron Man 2 is already in the making (what a creative title lol). It’s supposed to be coming out on April 30, 2010. So it’s still awhile off but I’m definitely looking forward to it.

Thor is supposed to be coming out slightly later in the year. According to Wikipedia Stan Lee made Thor shortly after creating the Hulk in the hopes of making a stronger super hero seeing as how he was a god instead of a human. I think it’s cooler when super heroes actually have skills versus brute strength though:).

Captain America is coming out in 2011. Now by adding the Hulk, let’s think, what do all 4 of these super heroes have in common? They’re all members of the Avengers. I’m positive that will be Marvel’s response to the Watchmen. This also makes a lot of sense seeing as how the list of new Avengers includes Spiderman and Wolverine. I mean Wolverine is getting his own movie with a date set for May 1, 2009. It’s going to be a very big build-up before Avengers which I’m betting will make it more popular than the Dark Knight. But that’s just me.

Anyways I’d just like to thank you guys for making today have more than 100 views! 😀
