Well, I’m sure neither Dwight or Andy will actually die but “The Duel” should definitely be an exciting episode of the Office when it airs next week. I’m not really sure why it didn’t air this week considering the fact that NBC’s Thursday lineup was all new besides the Office. Anyway for those of you that watched the Moroccan Christmas episode you know why Dwight and Andy are gonna throw-down in the next episode. Basically Angela pissed off Phyllis for the final time and Phyllis told everyone (besides Andy because he was off playing his weird instrument somewhere) that Angela and Dwight were sleeping together. Anyway if you head over to my new blog location at blogspot you’ll see that it’s much easier to post videos of what I’m talking about. This Office episode is probably going to be the best one of the season and I’m really happy about that considering how funny “The Surplus” episode was.
There’s also more good news for the Office seeing as how they’re starting to get guest stars on the show during the post-Super Bowl episode called “Stress Relief”. Jack Black and Jessica Alba are going to be starring in a bootlegged movie that the Office watches during the day (no doubt Michael brought back Movie Day now that nobody actually comes to make sure he’s doing his job). Also, according to Wikipedia, the Office spinoff is supposed to air February 1, 2009.

Tim Burton <3 Johnny Depp for sure
So there are some big rumors flying around about the 4th Pirates of the Caribbean movie which might have it’s own trilogy. I hope they don’t push for the trilogy personally because that will probably lead to forcing out another 3 Pirates movies without trying to make them good. But this might not be the case if one of the rumors is true. Supposedly Gore Verbinski (the guy who directed the first 3 Pirates movies if you didn’t know) is returning to direct this movie but there’s whisperings about Tim Burton maybe taking over as director. If this is true, then Burton and Depp are going to be spending a lot of time together since Johnny Depp is playing the Mad Hatter (like I mentioned here) in Burton’s Alice in Wonderland movie. Seriously I always knew they had a thing for each other lol 😉 .
Anyway, Burton would probably do a good job with the Pirates movies especially since they’re supposed to be focusing on the past (at least that’s what I’ve heard) when Captain Jack and Barbossa were looking for the Fountain of Youth. I think it’s very plausible that this is what the 4th movie is going to be about because another one of the rumors is that Geoffrey Rush has signed on for the 4th movie as well. I do think it would be a better idea for Orlando and Keira to return in this movie seeing as how Will Turner is now immortal and Elizabeth isn’t. They could even make it a few years after the end of the last movie so Will’s son could be older and go looking for Jack’s help or something. But currently I’ve heard no rumors talking about Keira or Orlando returning so that probably isn’t going to happen.
Captain Jack’s brother (when did he ever mention having a brother and where was he in the last movie when all the pirates faced off?) is also rumored to show up in this movie. From what I’ve heard, it’s either going to be Sacha Baron Cohen or Russell Brand (you know that crazy guy with the biggest white guy fro I’ve ever seen that scared people at the MTV award show lol). Sacha’s played in a movie with Johnny Depp before (he was Pirelli in Sweeney Todd which I still need to see!) but I haven’t really seen anything of either comedian’s work. I do think it would be good to have someone with a sense of humor playing Jack’s brother though 😀 . That’s all for the current rumors though.

Meet the Graysons
So just when Smallville finally isn’t sucking so bad (or so I’ve heard from people that actually still watch it) the CW decides to add some competition for it (ultimately probably replacing it seeing as how they both have the same executive producers). Yesterday they announced “The Graysons” and if you can’t guess what it’s about you fail at life 😉 . Anyway it’s about Robin (a.k.a Dick Grayson still) and his family (before they were killed obviously). It’s going to be set in modern times and I’m sure Dick (or DJ as he’s being called seeing as how people are immature) will probably be highschool age so lots of girls can oggle whoever plays him (even though he’s supposed to be pretty young when his parents are killed).
Lots of people are saying how this show is going to suck because supposedly the only thing that made Smallville great was the fact that Superman already had super powers. I don’t even like Superman and I used to watch Smallville. It was a good drama in the beginning. I think it’s major flaw was the fact that the CW tried to keep playing on that drama without moving the Superman story forward fast enough. But, seeing as how the CW has a lot of really popular dramas, I’m sure they’re going to have a plan for making this show successful. I mean the executive producers of Smallville will have had time to learn from their mistakes and the CW will probably cast someone hot to play Robin (I mean that’s all Supernatural has going for it and those guys aren’t really that hot and has anyone noticed that they’re really gay for each other?). I’m guessing that will fix most of people’s concerns about the show and if not they can just turn it into a weird circus family drama.
I hope that (not to sound vindictive and creepy) the Graysons get offed early personally. That way Dick can be emo and get adopted by Batman and whine to his schoolmates about how he has no personal life and how his parents are dead ect. ect. Then he can turn into Robin and start prowling the streets at night in order to avenge his family. I mean even a Batman show from the Robin perspective would be pretty interesting to me. So I’m looking forward to this show as another thing I can watch in case they end up killing Reaper too 😦 .
In other news, there’s no Office tonight because of the stupid debate, but it’s perfectly ok for NBC to show 2 crappy “My Name is Earls” instead of one of each. I’m angry seeing as how I’ve been looking forward to it all week 😛 that and the fact that “My Name is Earl” sucks hardcore.
Jim and Pam are back tomorrow
Hooray the Office premieres tomorrow at 9 with a 1-hour episode. The episode is supposed to be called “Weight Loss” according to NBC. It says that all of the branch members become obsessed with their weight (although I wouldn’t think Jim would get into the craze, he’d probably just make fun of the rest of them as well as trying to psych out Dwight of course) and start to diet like crazy because of a weight loss initiative from Dunder Mifflin. That sounds like a really entertaining episode full of Kevin goodness haha. I can’t wait to see how crazy Dwight gets over trying to lose weight either. Angela is already tiny enough so I’m sure she’ll just be snooty to everyone else (especially Phyllis) and I’m sure Stanley will be as sarcastic as ever. Hopefully Michael doesn’t try and make everyone go anorexic but that would be something he would actually do. Oh yeah, in other Office news; Amy Poehler confirmed that she was going to be starring on the Office spin-off last week, as soon as she returns from her maternity leave that is. I hope it ends up being just as good as the Office but I hope none of the current cast have to leave the show for the spin-off.
Also in other news, I got my new motherboard, so here I am crossing my fingers that my computer will be fixed tonight. I’m seriously going to be sad if it’s not, //wrists sad lol jk 😛 .
I miss The Office
Yay The Office is coming back with a one-hour season premiere on September 25th. I’ve really been missing it ever since the “Goodbye, Toby” episode. I want to find out what happens with Jim and Pam, Dwight, Andy and heck, even Angela. If you didn’t see what happened I guess I won’t spoil it since NBC was having technical difficulties yesterday when I was trying to rewatch last season’s episodes. I will say it was both awesome and slightly disappointing but in good ways.
Anyways this year mid-season The Office is supposed to have a spin-off. I was thinking it might be of the Utica branch with Karen but it could also be “The Warehouse” and show Darryl (Craig Robinson is also playing in Pineapple Express) as their “boss”. Maybe they’ll follow Toby to Jamaica. There’s a rumor that seems pretty for sure that Aziz Ansari of MTV’s Human Giant has been cast for a role in the spinoff. Saturday Night Live’s Amy Poehler is also a rumored possibility. She’s supposedly leaving SNL after her baby is born sometime around November. Personally I like her the insane way she is but I think she’ll need to tone it back a little. Otherwise I think it will be too much for the show. I’ve heard a lot of rumors about Dwight being in charge of the spin-off but I really think he should stay at Scranton. It just wouldn’t be the same without him.
In other related news Rainn Wilson aka Dwight Schrute, is going to be in the new Transformers 2 movie. That just makes me laugh cuz he was an extra in Juno as well. This time he’s supposedly a school professor. I think he’d be a hilarious teacher personally.
Other shows that I’m excited to see come back are Reaper which sadly is premiering mid-season (So I’ll have to wait :() on The CW. Also Scrubs is making the transfer to ABC mid-season for it’s last half of a season. I’ll definitely be sad to see Zach Braff go :(. Who knows though, it could come back since it doesn’t have to deal with the competition of Grey’s Anatomy.
